Seeing as its my daughters first Christmas I thought I would throw up some photos taken from this mornings gift opening (I took the tree photo Christmas Eve). I hope everyone had an awesome holiday (I know we have so far) and I hope you all travel safe out there. Cheers!

A few people have asked about the lighting / equipment used so here is a BTS photo of the setup. Really simple lighting, just one AB1600 w/ 36″ octabox (main light) and one bare hotshoe flash (rim light, which was warmed up by the bounce from the wall) with the lighting metered out for f/8. I then used my 70-200 f/2.8 lens with a 3 stop ND filter so that I could shoot at f/2.8 and get the nice shallow depth of field.

Jeremy - Your kid’s 1st Christmases are so fun. Stoked for you to enjoy the awesomeness that it brings. And she is such a little cutie!
Merry Christmas bud!
James - Hey Nathan. Great pics…as always. What lens were these taken with? Great DOF and the colours are GREAT. I just went through the 2nd xmas with my little one, and let me tell you, it just gets better and better! Happy new year!
admin - @Jeremy – Thanks Bud!
@James – I through up a BTS photo since I have gotten a couple of emails about it, hope that helps
Steven Koszman - they just don’t make kids photo albums like they used to…well done
